Thirteen-Year-Old Girl in Hibernation

When 13-year-old girl Du Xiaoyan appears about to vomit, her mother knows that "she is going to sleep again." Starting from when she was one year old, Du Xiaoyan has had regular "hibernation" periods, when she sleeps for about two weeks, the longest time being 28 days. This sickness has forced her to quit school.

The girl says that before hibernation, she usually feels very sick, then gets a stomachache and an itchy back. Her parents are hoping doctors will cure their daughter's disease so she can go back to school.
