The AIDS Prevention and Treatment Lab of the Xiangya Medical School, Central South University, has conducted an anonymous survey on sex among the 1999 and 2000-grade students of humanities, science, engineering and medical majors in four universities in Hunan Province. The result is astonishing: among the 825 interviewees over 50 percent are in favor of premarital sex, over 30 percent endorse having more than one sexual partner and extramarital affairs, 16.9 percent have no objections to sex for commercial purpose, and some 10 percent are acceptant of homosexuality.
