Go from Guangzhou to Beijing in Just Ten Hours by Train

The Chinese railway department has decided to make significant adjustments to its railway network. It is to build a second Beijing-Guangzhou Railway line exclusively for passenger transport. The new railway, over 2,000 kilometers long, will take only 10 hours to cover the distance between Beijing and Guangzhou. The old Beijing-Guangzhou Railway will deal with freight transport only. Meanwhile, a second express railway line is to be constructed between Guangzhou and Hong Kong for both passenger and freight transport. Connecting lines to Foshan and Nanhai will also be built between these two express lines. In addition, Guangzhou plans to build China's largest container railway station.
