Qingdao International Fashion Week
Fashion shows are an essential aspect
of the Qingdao International Fashion Week. |
Qingdao City, a famous tourist destination
in China, is planning to host an international fashion week
in September. Encompassing a total 1,100 stands, this fashion
week will be the scene of various activities, including clothing
and jewelry exhibitions, fashion shows by world famous designers,
investment and trade negotiations, fashion trend news releases,
and a fashion forum.
Following the Qingdao International Beer Festival,
the Qingdao International Electronic and Domestic Electric Appliances
Exposition, and the Qingdao Sea Festival, this fashion week
is yet another significant economic and trading event to take
place in this prominent coastal city. It is aimed at highlighting
the strengths and merits of the local textile and clothing industries,
and at promoting international exchange and cooperation. A total
of 400 enterprises, domestic and overseas, participated in the
2001 fashion week, and its business volume hit 3.69 billion
yuan.
Several world famous foreign enterprises and
organizations have expressed their intention to attend the 2002
Qingdao Fashion Week, when noted fashion designers from Russia,
Japan, France and Germany will stage fashion shows.
