As an insurance canvasser for the China
Life Insurance Company, Henan Branch, Zhang Linhui makes barely
1,000 yuan a month, with which she must support her mother and
herself. She nevertheless saves enough from her meager salary
to buy captive birds, and then set them free. Zhang has lost
count of how many birds she has saved in the past six years.
She just hopes that her actions may encourage more people to
protect this feathered friend of humankind.
