The Three Gorges International Tourism Festival
was held in Yichang, Hubei Province, from 1st to 7th October.
The festival is a key component of the Chinese Folk Arts Tour
sponsored by the China Tourism Administration. The program of
20 events included the opening ceremony, the Three Gorges carnival,
the evening fireworks party, the China netizen tourism festival,
the Zhaojun tourism festival, the Qingjiang River dragon boat
festival, the Yiling eco-tourism festival, the maple festival,
the Qu Yuan cultural tourism festival, an elite tour of the
Three Gorges, the Qingjiang Sightseeing tour, the Three Kingdoms
sites tour, and a gourmand festival.
