Editor's Note: Mrs. Barbara Singleton, a
high school principal at Halton District School Board in Milton,
Ontario, Canada, and her husband, Dr. Paul Singleton, adopted
two Chinese daughters, now 9 and 10 years old, from Yangzhou,
Jiangsu Province in 1993 and 1994. From September 17 to December
10, 2001, the daughters, Mrs. Singleton's 11-year-old son
Jamie, and her 19-year-old niece Kristen returned to China
