Motorola Rolls into China's Household Electrical Appliances Sector

Motorola electrical household appliances, in particular digital TV sets, are soon to appear on the Chinese market. Its crystal display, liquid crystal and plasma TV sets and DVD players are scheduled to roll off the production line by the end of 2003. Motorola will be the first Western brand of digital TV set in China, imposing a tremendous challenge to those of Japan and South Korea. It has worked out a tender invitation plan with the aim of finding 26 Chinese partners.
